A Bug's Life: Inspired by the bugs and natural surroundings, students will use inspiration and imagination to create a project. Together on a hike we'll find and collect rocks, painting large rocks as the leaves and small rocks as the bugs we've seen in the park.
Capturing Nature: Learn how to represent nature in art. Bring the colors, sounds and light of the park to life!
Nature's Paint Brush: Create works of art using the natural resources of the park! We'll collect different elements during our hike to create our own paintbrushes and think beyond what is, to what could be!
Bunnies, Squirrels, Deer, Birds: We'll explore the park, trying to spot animals in their setting and discuss why animals are in specific environments and biomes. Then we'll take our ideas back to the drawing board and get to work with colored pencils, oil pastels, & markers.
Bubbles, Bubbles, & More Bubbles: We'll use one of Knox's fields to create & play with bubbles of various sizes. We'll take photos of the bubbles and students, and use them as reference to create bubble artwork drawings and paintings. We will also create a bubble station using soapy bubbles with fun colors!
